Individual Therapy

Individual psychotherapy is a service for adults who are experiencing emotional, social or physical difficulties for which applied solutions have not worked.

We work from a holistic treatment approach that allows the individual to identify new coping tools, resources and strengths to help them overcome those obstacles while promoting a greater understanding of themselves and their relationships.

“A person does not necessarily need an unresolved conflict to come to individual therapy; they may simply want to improve their quality of life.”

Although each situation is unique, these are the most common concerns people address in Individual Therapy:
  • Anxiety, stress, panic attacks, phobias, obsessive-compulsive behaviors, tics, among others.
  • Self-esteem, insecurity, guilt, and poor self-image.
  • Difficulties in personal relationships. (Families, couples, friends, colleagues.)
  • Mood states: Depression, sadness, manias
  • Grief or significant changes.
  • Work conflicts.
  • Vocational / Career Guidance

The number of sessions vary with each individual. The sessions are usually 50 to 60 minutes long each. An initial evaluation is performed prior to initiating therapy.
